Free market, baby!
Obviously, taken with a grain of salt, but I have to admit to being a bit skeptical of an industry that spends more on advertising that it does on research.

Beginnings
Political commentary and geek stuff. Posting this from a CR-48, Chrome OS-powered notebook while trying to wrap my head around the idea of Michelle Bachmann being a part of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee.
I've been a liberal for most of my 56 years (voted for McGovern) with an unfortunate flirtation with conservatism after the 9/11 attacks. I fortunately regained my sanity after reading Mr. Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope". Feels pretty good.
Got my first computer in '79 (a TRS-80 Model 1) so I've seen some changes in the industry over the past 30+ years. Maybe I've learned a thing or three. And maybe not. ;) Using the CR-48 right now even though I really don't like laptops very much. Figured I owed it to Google to test it out for them...they sent the damned thing to me after all.
Hit the 'tech' tag if you don't want to read my political rants. Hit 'politics' (duh) if you don't care about tech stuff.
That's it for now.
